SECTION 6: 3-Call Rule
3-Call Rule will be enforced and will be assessed as follows. Once the arena is clear and ready for the next contestant the announcer will call for the next horse and rider.
***Please note - if you have NOT checked in with the gate official, your 2nd and 3rd call will be back-to-back with no additional time allowance***
If there is a delay - including but not limited to horse not going in the gate, tack malfunctions, contestant not prepared - your first 30 seconds will start. After those first 30 seconds, you will receive your 2nd call. Then your next 30 seconds will begin. After 30 seconds your 3rd call will be given. After that 30 seconds have passed and you have not broken the timeline you will receive a scratch and a NO Time.
Each arena has a unique set-up - but you MUST be checked in with the gate official before your run. If there is a designated holding pen with a closing gate - you MUST be in the holding pen before the gate is closed.
SECTION 7: Broken Pattern/Forward Motion
If at any point you break pattern, you will be allowed to complete your pattern but will not be allowed to double circle any barrel or to “train.” You will also not be allowed to restart pattern. Once you cross the timeline forward motion must always be kept. If forward motion is not kept once crossing the timeline, it will be considered a broken pattern.
*****Crossing the line of the arena*****
For races that are marked with a clear alleyway or holding pen, no circling will be allowed passed the mouth of the arena where the two connect. You may circle in the alleyway or circle in the holding pen. Once the mouth of the arena has been entered, you must maintain forward motion or it will be considered a broken pattern.
SECTION 8: Run Order Rule
If a contestant runs out of order or on the wrong horse for any reason, they will be automatically disqualified.
Section 9: Dress Code
Dress code violations will be accessed a $50 fine for each violation. If you make multiple runs in a day/weekend, each run in a dress code violation will be assessed a $50 fine. Your fines must be paid each day in order to avoid a disqualification within (1) hour of the classes’ conclusion.
Local Show/Non-Dress Code Events – All participants are required to wear jeans, boots or western shoes, and an appropriate top (no spaghetti straps or tube tops) with the encouragement of riding helmets during a competitive run. All other attire is prohibited during a competitive run, including ball caps/visors. (See special rules.) This will be the dress code for local shows. Larger shows may require cowboy hat or helmet and long-sleeved shirts during your competitive run(s). Please check the events to confirm.
Dress code waiver - If you wear any ICRP shirt of any year, the dress code of a cowboy hat/long sleeves is waived. However, all ball caps/visors are still prohibited during a competitive run unless the Kaps 4 Kids fee is paid. See below for special events definitions.
Ball caps/Visors: Ball caps/visors are not allowed to be worn during a competitive run unless you pay the $5 Kaps 4 Kids fee for the weekend. $5 fees will be donated to provide supplies to a local foster home at the end of the season. Any type of ball cap/visor can be worn during a competitive run if the fee is paid. ICRP hats will be available for purchase at the shows. You must still pay the $5 Kaps 4 Kids fee even if you have an ICRP hat. There will be a list at the gate of paid fees, and deadline of paying your fee is when the first horse runs in the first class of day.
Must pay $5 fee before the first horse runs
Fee must be paid at the office
List will be at the gate when the first horse runs each day
If you are caught in a competition run in a ballcap/visor without your $5 Kaps 4 Kids fee paid, you will be fined $50, which will be donated to the foster home at the end of the season. If the fine is not paid within (1) hour of your classes’ conclusion your run that incurred the penalty will be disqualified. Additional violations will result in additional $50 fines for each violation and the same disqualification penalty will apply to each competitive run you are out of dress code.
Themed shows: Cowboy hats are optional if you are in costume dress. However, all ball caps/visors are still prohibited in competitive runs unless the Kaps 4 Kids fee is paid.
Special events require full dress code and cannot be waived, no exceptions. Ball caps/hats are not allowed during these events/classes. Failure to comply with dress code will result in a $50 fine per run in violation. If the fine is not paid within (1) hour of your classes’ conclusion your run that incurred the penalty will be disqualified. Additional violations will result in additional $50 fines for each violation and the same disqualification penalty will apply to each competitive run you are out of dress code. You have 60 days to make arrangements/make contact with the producer about winnings.
If the show was paid out in cash and you are planning to pick up and there is not a show within 60 days, ICRP will continue to hold the cash for a later date - anything not picked up after a series ends will be mailed as long as there is a current W9 on file.
If the show paid out with checks and you have not turned in your W9 after ICRP has attempted to reach out and collect the W9, after 60 days your check becomes VOID and your winnings will be returned to future added monies.
You must have W9 on file to pick up any winnings, cash or check.
If you have not made efforts to claim your winnings/make arrangements/respond to the producer, your winnings will go back into ICRP toward added monies.
If you do not cash your check within 60 days you check will become VOID.
If you are not present at the end of the show, cash payments will be held until the next show if not picked up the day of, unless otherwise stated. You may have someone pick up and sign for you to pick up cash or checks. ICRP is not liable for any payments claimed by outside parties you have designated.
Winnings that are paid back in cash, will be made ready for pick up at the next event if not picked up the same day. If all events are completed for the year and/or series, checks will be mailed out.
Producer reserves the right to decide on mailing out checks after an event; since we pay back mostly in cash, expect to make arrangements for pick up or winnings will be available at the next ICRP show.
ANY winnings that are mailed out will deduct $2 from the winnings to cover postage and handling.
ALL beginner/peewee winnings are paid back in cash. PLEASE pick them up the day of the show, they are always ready shortly after the class concludes.
Payment options are as follows:
Cash – pick up
Check - mailed
We will NOT pay back with Venmo or Paypal - it is a direct violation of their policies and can result in accounts being banned.
Replacement checks - checks will not be replaced that were voided for failure to be cashed. In the event a check is misplaced/lost in the mail and you contact the producer prior to the 60 day mark, we will replace your check for a fee of $20 each that will be taken from the winnings. We are not responsible for checks that are lost by the postal service.
